Jackson, Miss. – The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly renovated 4A Med/Surg Inpatient Unit on Monday, April 29th at 10 a.m.
This $4.7M project renovated approximately 13,174 sq. ft. located on the 4th floor to provide for 13 new med/surg inpatient privatized patient rooms with bathrooms. These include two bariatric rooms, two isolation rooms and nine standard patient rooms.
Additionally, to improve patient care delivery services this area provides for a localized provider/resident workroom, team room, nourishment areas, consultation space, centralized nursing station along with decentralized nursing alcoves.
